The Chris Greys is a sensitive band, matured by fate. The four rock ’n rollers with an average age of 25 years have had more experiences than most people, and they share the will to survive -- to stand up, brush off the dust, and set out to achieve new goals. These goals include sharpening their instincts and leading the music to places where nobody has previously gained a foothold. The Chris Greys are willing to risk the free fall. They search for depth, and this is exemplified in the lyrics inspired by the different backgrounds of the band members.
The diversity is at the same time the band’s strength. All four band members contribute to the development of the music and ensure rock versatility, for which no one knows the boundaries. Rock is unpredictable to The Chris Greys, like a moody life rhythm where point A doesn’t always lead to point B -- where nothing is wrong as long as it feels right… as long as it has nerve. It is this nerve which leads to pain and goose bumps. It is all about throwing away all sense of decency and feeling what is left. That is life -- a pumping organ.
Rock ’n’ roll is the phrase written on the flesh of the band’s frontline figure, Chris Grey, who calls himself,
“The Man”, because he is the archetype of the masculinity, He is a man with such strong charisma that he will leave you sinking into the ground, as though it were quicksand, when he yells out his calling in life. This is the man, who has taken the journey from the cradle via the gutter to the stage, even if it is the loneliest place in the world because everybody’s eyes are looking like impatient floodlights, searching for the unexpected, the provocative, and the incomprehensible. This is where he is naked, Chris Grey. And he loves it for this is the one place in the world, where he feels right at home together with “the family”, The Greys, who have stuck together for such a long time that they don’t need to speak to understand each other.
You can feel that in their music. It is like a matter of course -- the rock, pulling even the most seasoned listener’s eyebrows up to the hairline, or the ballads, eliminating the force of gravity. The energies are different, but the attitude is the same. It is real. It has nothing feigned about it -- nothing made-up or superficial. The attitude is in the soul of The Chris Greys -- a soul, hammering against the chest to get the message out, a sound and a word making emotions flow like they were influenced by stimulants. The Chris Greys just calls it rock ’n roll because, real things are simple in their essence.
